| Group Chief Auditor Purpose of the position To set up a vivid Audit Policy, process and systems for the ALFARA’A group of companies. The role ensures that all financial and accounting risks are evaluated from time to time and is being reported on periodic basis. The role must also ensure that the audit report projects a true and fair picture of the accounting systems prevalent in the organization. 1. To set the process of deliverables for the Audit department. 2. Indentify and assess potential risks to the organization’s operations by reviewing adequacy of controls measures established. 3. Ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures and business objectives. 4. Propose improvement and advise on the best practice. 5. Assess the means for safeguarding assets; appraise the use of resources with regard to economy, efficiency and effectiveness. 6. Ensure that the group’s accounting and financial reporting is timely and accurate and has got relevant analysis for its business and financial decision. 7. Review of site controls for ongoing projects and ensure they contribute to the completion of the project on time and within budget. 8. Analysis of monthly project wise profitability, cost to complete, MIS, Budgeting and assisting Cost control department for variation analysis. 9. Analysis of quarterly financials. 10. Examine and evaluate financial information systems, recommending controls to ensure reliability and data integrity. 11. To make recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed, report on the findings and recommendations and monitor management’s response and implementation. 12. Identify inefficient practices and procedures and formulate recommendations to management for improvements. 13. Identify potential opportunities for cost savings. 14. Develop annual audit plan using an appropriate risk based methodology including any risk or control concerns identified by Audit Committee or Board. 15. Exercise all financial responsibility in contracts between the company and third parties. 16. Provide economic and financial analysis necessary to screen new development projects, assist in making investment decisions and manage portfolio of existing assets. 17. Generation of project wise profitability under various scenarios. Job Specifications: 1. Qualification : CA /FCA 2. Experience : 15 to 20 years 3. Area of expertise : Must have worked in a large commercial/ construction/manufacturing industries in the Internal Audit department. Must have headed a team of Auditors. Excellent domain knowledge and hands on skills in audit practice is essential. 4. Must be well versed with various processes of audit [wherever necessary]. | |
