| Senior Tech Specialist - JAVA / J2EE Job Description Works on problems involving the evaluation of specifications for complex business requirements and processes (new, enhancements, maintenance), and develops and prepares computer solutions. Performs and leads modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts. Verifies program logic by preparing test data for trial runs, tests and debugs programs. Participates in the overall systems testing. Supports the implementation of the application into production environment Job Description '* Evaluate systems specification and business requirements and determine/implement the most efficient and cost-effective solution * Analyze and translate business requirements into technical specifications * Elaborate designs using RUP methodology and produce the appropriate artifacts in UML * Design and develop Java based web applications * Serve as a senior level technical and systems consultant to internal clients and technical management * Serve as a senior level technical liaison to vendors and alternate (offshore) site development teams responsible for ensuring coding standards are met. * Provide support and guidance to less experienced staff * Research and track new web technologies * Perform system quality assurance and check consistency with web development coding standards and security standards * Troubleshoot technical issues and production problems. Requires strong problem solving skills and technical trouble shooting skills.'
